Support King while shopping without spending an extra dime. Register your credit, debit and store loyalty cards with these programs and King will get a rebate ranging from 3-9% of every dollar you spend at participating merchants at no extra cost to you:

Register your credit cards at Escrip then shop at local groceries, restaurants, and stores. Every time you use your card at participating stores, King PTA gets a contribution from the merchant.  It doesn’t cost you anything extra and you don’t have to do anything extra after you register your cards.

This is our best fundraiser and could be even better if everyone participated.

Participating merchants include:  Andronico's, Safeway,  Macy’s, Office Depot,  Office Max,  Big 5 Sporting Goods,  Eddie Bauer,  Budget Car Rental,  Baja Fresh,  Food 4 Less,  Pak N Save,  Mary Kay Cosmetics, Payless Shoe Source,  Roundtable Pizza,  Whole Foods,  Working Assets Long Distance, and more, plus many online merchants.

Register Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, Macy’s, ATM cards, and your Safeway club card. [Note to those who’ve previously registered - you must renew your Safeway club card every year. Go to www.escrip.com now to renew.]

How to sign up:

Register online at www.escrip.com .  Our group is listed under “Martin Luther King Middle School” Group ID #6662871.   eScrip allows you to split the contribution among up to three different organizations, so you can support all of your kids’ schools at the same time. You can also register by mail – check with one of the fundraising coordinators for forms.

eScrip states that they will not license, sell, exchange or distribute any personally identifying information about eScrip participants to any third parties not directly involved in the eScrip program.

Support King at the office

Recycle your printer cartridges & cell phones. We can recycle empty inkjet or laser cartridges from most printers, faxes and copy machines and your old cell phones for cash for King. Find out what your office manager does with used cartridges and check with office-mates who have their own printers. The program is simple. We send a prepaid UPS box to your office to collect the cartridges. When it fills, you just tape up the box and give it to the UPS driver. King gets the credit automatically. That’s all there is to it. Each cartridge is worth anywhere from twenty cents to five dollars.

Interested? Contact Rosa Chin at rosamlchin@yahoo.com.

If you have a cell phone or just have a few cartridges every now and then drop them in the collection box at the King office.
